College Scholarships

Scholarships

In the 2012-2013 school year the STOPS board created an annual college scholarship award program. Naturally the program is subject to funding approval each year, but the goal is to help deserving students with college expenses. The scholarship awards are funded by the fundraising efforts of STOPS, and especially by direct donations from ST families. Please use the DONATE button on our home page to make a generous donation to the scholarship program. Thank you!

If approved, the scholarship program is announced to ST families in April or May - so join our Yahoo group to get the announcement! To win the award students must complete submit an essay, less than 500 words, to stops95123@yahoo.com. The essay must address the prompt: "How Santa Teresa High School has prepared me for life after high school."  Winners are determined by a committee that reviews the entries. If you do not have a graduating senior that is applying for a scholarship, you can serve on the committee - just send an email to stops95123@gmail.com.
